Are Ready for More
They've outgrown football that just fills an hour. They want more reps, more challenge, and coaching that expects something of them.
Ages 9–12 • Years 4, 5, 6 & 7
They're starting to realise what they can do with a football. The Academy gives them the coaching, the challenge and the players around them to find out how far they can take it.

They've outgrown football that just fills an hour. They want more reps, more challenge, and coaching that expects something of them.
Pre Academy built the foundations. The Academy is where they get tested and stretched — technically, tactically and physically — against players on the same climb.
The Academy feeds directly into our MJPL and JPL squads. Players who are ready get identified in training and progressed — the next step is real, and it's visible every week in the older groups.
Confidence is development. A player who wants the ball, tries things and isn't afraid of mistakes is a player who's improving — and this environment is built to produce exactly that.
The same coaches who run our MJPL squads work with Boys Academy players. A junior training programme built on real coaching methodology.
Every session, every player gets individual feedback. Small groups are the difference between going through the motions and actually improving.
Academy players who are ready get identified for our Saturday squads. There's always somewhere to go next — and the coaches know where each player is heading.
A full Nike kit is included in your joining fee. They arrive at their first session as part of the squad — not as a visitor.
Every Boys Academy session is structured around technical and tactical development — building the individual qualities and game understanding players need to progress.
Position-specific movement, dynamic stretching, and technical warm-up with the ball.
At 9–12, sessions need to prepare players physically and mentally. The warm-up sets the tone for the standard expected in the session.
One focused technical theme — receiving, passing combinations, 1v1 defending, or finishing under pressure.
Deliberate practice on isolated techniques builds the habits players need before they can apply them in match situations.
The session theme applied in a structured exercise with positional and decision-making constraints.
Linking technique to tactics is what separates academy training from kick-about football. Players learn to make decisions, not just execute skills.
High-intensity 4v4 to 7v7 games with coaching interventions and structured feedback.
The game is the best teacher. Coaches guide rather than lecture — players solve problems, make errors, get corrected, and improve.
Active recovery, one individual takeaway per player, session summary.
Individual feedback in the cooldown is when players connect what they practised to what they produced. It's brief, specific, and actionable.

Boys Academy is for players competing at level 3 or above, or already training with us. If he's playing casually, book a taster and we'll assess him in session — if the Academy is the right fit, great. If a different session would serve him better first, we'll tell you honestly.
