These sessions are designed for advanced U8 grassroots players and are delivered by our top Academy coaches.
Participation is strictly based on a successful trial, and places are extremely limited.

Opportunities for U8 Players (September Intake)
Our Player One sessions provide a fantastic opportunity for high-potential U8 players to develop under the guidance of our Elite Academy coaches, with 90-minute training blocks each week.
These sessions also offer a potential pathway to represent Star Soccer Academy in Saturday fixtures from U9s onward, competing in the Midlands Junior Premier League (MJPL) — one of the most competitive grassroots leagues in the region.
We follow a strict selection process for players invited to train at our Performance Centre in Desford, ensuring the right environment for players who demonstrate both ability and the mindset to improve.

Our U8 Performance Group is designed for high-level grassroots players who are ready to take their development to the next stage. Players in this group will train with our top Academy coaches in a focused, challenging environment that mirrors the standards of professional Academy football.
🔍 Please note: Trial sessions are used to assess whether players meet the standards required for this elite group. Spaces are limited and offered based on performance during the trial.

What to expect if successful:
Players who impress during their trial will be invited to join the Elite Group and have the opportunity to represent Star Soccer Academy in competitive, high-level U8 matches throughout the season.
