Girls Academy Lead Coach

Kirby Muxloe Football Club · Ratby Lane, Kirby Muxloe, Leicester, LE9 2AQ

3 hours per week · Monday evenings, 6–9pm

£20–£25 per hour

Part time · closing 2026-10-31

Our Girls Academy is the fastest-growing part of Star Soccer Academy, and we are looking for a lead coach to take it on. The group runs on Monday evenings at Kirby Muxloe Football Club and covers our U11–U12 age band.

This is a coaching role, not a supervision role. You will plan and lead the session, hold the group, and be the person parents speak to at the end of the hour. You will have an assistant coach alongside you and a technical coach available for session planning support.

We are particularly keen to hear from female coaches, though the role is open to everyone.

What the role involves

  • Plan and lead the Monday evening Girls Academy session, working to the academy's syllabus
  • Take the register and account for every child in your group, every week
  • Set the session theme and adapt it on the night when the group needs something different
  • Brief and support your assistant coach
  • Speak to parents at the end of each session and flag anything that needs following up
  • Feed into each player's development notes across the season

Hours

  • 3 hours per week
  • Monday evenings, 6–9pm

Essential

  • UEFA C, or working towards it with a clear timeline
  • An in-date enhanced DBS — we will process a new one if yours has lapsed
  • FA Safeguarding Children certification, in date
  • FA Emergency First Aid in Football, or an equivalent
  • Available on Monday evenings through the school term
  • Genuine interest in the players who are not yet the best in the group

Desirable

  • Experience coaching girls' football specifically
  • UEFA B, or working towards it
  • Goalkeeping or futsal badges
  • Your own transport

What we offer

  • £20–£25 per hour, paid for the hour you coach
  • CPD funded — including UEFA B if you want it, with dates worked around your sessions
  • A capped group, a session plan, and an assistant coach alongside you
  • First look at lead roles as the academy expands into new centres
  • Star Soccer Academy coaching kit

About Star Soccer Academy

We are a Leicestershire football academy running term-time sessions at Kirby Muxloe and Earl Shilton, from Mini Stars at four years old through to our academy age groups. We run one session at a time and we run it properly: capped groups, a plan for every session, and coaches who are paid for the hour they coach.

Before you apply

Fill in the form below — it takes about five minutes and there is no covering letter to write. If it looks like a fit we will invite you to come and watch a Monday session, then to coach part of one with a coach alongside you. Nobody is handed a group on their first night.

Apply for this Role.

About five minutes. No covering letter needed.

Coaching badges, safeguarding, first aid, DBS — and if any have lapsed, say so. It is not a barrier.

Where you have coached, which age groups, and what you enjoy most.

Be honest about clashes — we would rather know now than after you start.

Town or postcode, so we can be realistic about the journey.

PDF or Word, up to 5MB. Optional — you can send it later if you do not have it to hand.
